DATE WITH PINOCCHIO

Oh yeah! Second day in  I T A L I A  and I already got a date with Pinocchio. How cool is that? #travelgoals indeed. I was feeling blue and now looking back having holiday blues. Haha! It was yet another clear and wonderful day to wander around ROMA.

The humidity didn’t get on my nerves at all and I was ready to seize the day with my arms wide open. Mr sunshine was shining so luminously while I was glancing at the window. The temperature outside matches my outfit with this beautiful shining blue sky. To be honest it didn’t even feel like I’ve been out wandering everywhere from 10am-10pm. It was tiring yet satisfying.

R O M A has a lot of hard and uneven cobbled stones and getting around by foot is the best option ever!! Well, sometimes. Not when you have uncomfortable shoes. So if you prefer to walk, wear comfy shoes.

What’s great about on foot is that you get to explore Italian alleys. Also have much better understanding of the city, speaking with locals, and learning about their culture in your own unique way and to get away from a lot of traffic too! You could also get to spot random cute walls for your #OOTD shots along the way. Get that instagram game on baybeh!
If I didn’t explore what the small roads and alleys has to offer, I wouldn’t have seen Mr Pinochio on the way of my adventure.

So, go EXPLORE as much as you can! You’ll never see what’s around the corner unless you go out and discover! Have fun always but be alert and stay safe wherever you are in the world and follow your instinct.
Also, be positive and you will attract positive vibes. 😉

Here’s Pedro, my Brazilian friend who was in charge of maps and directions. How terribly confused I was – can you see it on my face? To be honest I’m not the best person to use maps so I let him take over. BUT this doesn’t mean I’m not getting there. Navigating maps wasn’t my cup of tea at that time of the year. Haha! I just didn’t really bother looking into it too deeply.
Seriously I would rather strike conversations with locals asking for directions on how to get to my destination instead of letting my head explode! It’s also the best way to find out where’s the best and affordable restaurants in town. Authentic.
I don’t mind getting lost when I have so much spare time in my hands. Mostly, I crave random adventures and see where my legs take me and I go from there. It sounds like a waste of time to others, but it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. We need that at least once in a blue moon.

Here I am infront of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City (the worlds largest Catholic church). It was my first time seeing about 50 beautiful brides all at once in their wedding dresses taking photos, eating ice creams & having their lunch romantically around this impressive square at Piazza San Pietro.

The queue going in to the Vatican was lengthy so make sure to book tickets in advance to avoid long queues. Looking around made me realize how talented all these artists from so many years ago were to create all these inspiring statues and such amazing architecture. It’s a pity I didn’t get to see inside St. Peter’s Basilica.

It would have taken about 2 hours or more after getting tickets plus I only had a limited budget througout this trip. Next time I visit I hope I will see the Pope!

I guess there’s a reason for me to come back again. As they say, throwing a coin in the Trevi Fountain (over your right shoulder with your right hand) promises luck in love and a definite return to Rome one day. We’ll see 😉

What I’m wearing:

Blue top: Bershka (believe me or not, it was 1.99eu on winter sale)
Blazer: Catch
White shorts: gift from my bestie (Danz)
B&W sandals: peaceMan (it was 5eu)
Sunglasses: Zara
Fur grey bag: Primark

Have you ever been to ROMA yet? If so, what was your favourite experience you had there? If you haven’t been yet, is it on your bucket list?
This is only my 3rd blog post on my website but the support I have got from you guys has been incredible!! Thank you very much! Havean amazing day! See you next time.
