Have you ever felt like wearing a Black & White outfit in that moment just because??!! Haha. Today’s fantastic sunshine was the hottest day I’ve felt in ROMA since I stepped my foot on Italian land. I was totally roasted!
BUT I felt pretty happy, confident and also positive throughout the day. Maybe because I was extremely excited to roam around the famous Colosseum #bucketlistTickedOFF and finally got to meet up with my cousin who I haven’t seen in years?!
Ooh yaaaas!!! This breezy comfortable #feelingsexy outfit was easy to put on. ONLY 5 minutes of getting ready and I was done! Taking shower and putting on that wing eyeliner wasn’t counted in that 5 minutes though. Haha. I had to cut this black & white striped pants because the length was for 6 foot human beings. About 3 inches gone by the looks of it but still on fleek. 😉 Imagine if I didn’t cut it, I would’ve dragged all the dirt with me and made couble stones ground shinier around ROMA! Haha..
I was very excited getting off the bus and I looked out the window..“wow it’s gigantic!” I was totally mesmarised as it’s way bigger than I expected.
Before even getting close to the entrance, there were 100’s of multi lingual tour guides at every step of the way. Interacted with a few, but we’ve decided to just queue up and see how it goes, basically went with the flow. It wasn’t too bad! I edited a few pictures while we were on the queue so it didn’t really feel that long standing up in the heat. Haha
An absolute must visit place and go here early to beat the crowds. Book your tickets in advance too if you don’t want to queue up for an hour or more.
It was 13 euros to enter but I only paid 7.50 euros because I have a European passport. BINGGO! We tried to visit all levels, take photos at different angles in almost every corner and squeeze into the best spots without looking like there were thousands of tourists beside us who were also up for that perfect shot.
After all that, we took our time just feeling the atmosphere (taking in all the views, admiring the sheer size of this structure, people-watching and so on. It was simply amazing!!!
Also got to explore Roman Forum – Palatine Hill (Foreo Romano – Palatino). It was in front of the Colloseum and was included in the ticket price so WHY NOT COCONUT!
Aftewards, we walked our way to the city centre and spotted this. I still cannot figure out HOW they managed to do this. Were they comfortable? Where’s their head? Under this invisible head? I’ll let you figure it out and let me know down the comments below if you found where their real head is. Haha
WHAT I’m wearing:
Crop top: Primark
Striped pants: Zara
Sunglasses: River Island
It wouldn’t really be an Italian trip without some gelatos to lick on a hot day and evening right?? Haha I got my fave flavour in the entire world, Manggo!! I totally cannot get enough of it.
And here I am again, not missing any day to visit The Trevi fountain (Fontana di Trevi.) This spectacular masterpiece by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci. I was basically making the most of it and I got to experience it on night time too! Absolutely beautiful!!!! It’s still crowded either way but don’t let it keep you away from throwing a coin in and making a wish. It’s your turn!
I hope you like my blogposts so far and that you’re enjoying your day/night wherever you are in the world right now. Stay safe.
